"Misty Day, Remains of the Judgement" the "painting" found in the Historical Society building in Silent Hill 2. the prominent figure being Pyramid Head, the form of the punisher chosen to torture James. Drawn 11-19-2002
Pyramid Head has some fun places to stick that pole of his. and he's just dying for another bloody torture chamber impalement excecution...
yeah, all of these have an undesired blur, but since this one is supposed to be in the fog i just left it there.

on an SH related note, I was disappointed that there was no radio in the 4th one
In fact, the 4th one, while really really cool storywise, was kinda disappointing in how it was missing a lot of the minor but cool SH elements
fog, radio, pocketlight, changing from the real world to the otherworld while in the place itself....quite a few things changed. however, if you play the other SH games with the radio turned off, it's even better! you can hear a lot of enemies when the noise isn't covered up by that static, so it actually makes it scarier...
oh, and i read something about the light. it's purely symbolic. the light is always in the character's left vest pocket (near the heart) basically saying that the character's heart is leading them through. since Henri isn't really emotionally attatched to what's going on, it's really not his heart leading him.
as for the fog, i'm still trying to figure that one out. the only fog i've seen so far is in forest world, if you try to return to the wish house with the key in your inventory. that shit's creepy...

it reminded me of LotR (movie) when Frodo puts the ring on, everything gets all crazy.
The fog makes sense, it mostly stays around the actual town of SH
what i thought was interesting, not necessarily good or bad, was how the sphere of influence that the demons and ghosts of SH were creeping outwards and no longer confined to the dead town
Personally I thought the absolute creepiest thing in that game was the TV in his house. It's so central and imposing (in the living room) and then when it turns on mysteriously and can't be turned off. It's an old gag but still so unnerving.
i've just now gotten to the room's hauntings...what makes it scary is that you can't really avoid some of them, and you can't technically fight back. (i know about the candle trick, but it still bothers me) it's like, the one safe place in the game has now been infected...*shudders*
i'm not sure how far you are (i'm guessing you've beaten it but i can't tell for sure. i've just gotten to ) but i think part of the reason a lot of areas outsdie Silent Hill itself have been changed is because of the presence of a certain person in the game that seems to always be one step ahead of Henry...

there is still more creep to be found
so much more creepiness
why is it that the sound of children laughing is so freaky?
but yeah, i watched a friend of mine play it through, I missed a tiny gap in between but i watched through most of it
